The latest books aren't that great (they're written by her son and he hasn't picked the best plot lines), but I haven't read one of the ones she's written that I haven't at least appreciated. Most of them I've simply adored.
I think you'll really like them It's an easy book series to love. If you like her writing, she's got some more obviously sci-fi series that my mother really likes (I haven't read them)
