The Invisible Man is a classic that I highly suggest reading.
****1/2(out of 5)
It starts out in Iping, England, and a mysterious man arrives at the Inn and asks for a room. Mrs. Hall the owner begins seeing strange things about this man(who has a bandaged head, dark glasses and a long coat) including when she walks in and sees a gaping hole wher his mouth and neck should be. She concludes that he went through huge injuries to his head that made it ugly, sohe kept it bandaged.
Also by seeing the inside of the room she can also conclude that he is a scientis and was often mixing chemicals and then flinging them into a corner in a rage.
Also during this time there are strange robberies in which money was taken but no villain seen.
After a few more instances such as the furnature begining to float, Mrs. Hall is ready to turn the man out. He then takes off his hat glasses and nose(fake one)an looks like he is headless. Scared everyone runs...(although later it is clarified that he is invisible.)
The invisible man then goes out and finds a man named Marvel to help him. Because the Invisable man can not carry anything without being discovered he neede another man to do it for him. He gets Marvel to go back to town and get some clothes and 3 books containing his scientific work.
Marvel also carries money for the invisible man and tries to steal it....after running he reaches a town and goes into a building for safety. After a scuffle the invisible man gets shot but survives and goes to the house of a scientist named Kemp, they knew eachother in colledge. He tells Kemp everything(including the very cool and interesting story of how he became invisible which I am not writing for your sake)But Kemp betrays the man and calls the police to get the man.
After escaping the man goes into a furius rage and voys to cause a reign of terror and kill anybody who aposed him. starting with Kemp.... I'll stop here so I don't spoil it...but read it you will be happy if you do....good for anybody who likes mystery and action.

People are dying in Africa......
And what are we doing?
Chatting about books...
This holiday season find a charity you trust and donate...
Or let them die...
