My understanding is that there will be nine KB & Bauchelain short stories, collected together as three mass-market collections. The new short story is the first one in the second collection.
I think there has been a sign he may write the remaining short stories more quickly once THE CRIPPLED GOD is completed, as he is going to have something like nine months longer than he does now to write the next six MALAZAN books, and that longer span of time will allow him to fit the short stories in more regularly.
