I read all the series except for the last book which I think was Stormed Fortress. On the plus side it is a world as well though as as RJ's with a very rich back story. The main characters are also interesting, no one is too good or completly bad. The story itself is interesting.
Unfortunatly it never quite grabbed my attention like WoT. It has the same WoT detail and sub plots but I just never got into it the same way as the WoT. There was just some spark missing as the series went on that for all the WoT's flaws is clearly there so that a bad PoD is still better than a lot of other books.
Its a lot heavier compared to lighter fantasy such as the Feist's Rift War ect but thats the problem. If you can't be inticed to reread over and over you are going to miss the detail and to be honoust the way she uses languate made it too much of a chore to try and re read, at least to me. Maybe I'm thick but I almost has to study each paragraph to figure out what it was saying. That took a lot of the enjoyment out of the series for me.

The Wars of Light and Shadow ~ Janny Wurts. You should read them, truly.

I much prefered her Cycle of Fire trilogy. It had sorcery, spaceships, and aliens.
