I have enjoyed all of Sanderson's books ever since I picked them up after hearing that he was going to finish the Wheel of Time. The Alcatraz books in particular are some of my favorites due to their humor and their outrageous magic system. Anyone WoT fan who hasn't bothered to pick up any Sanderson yet should read some, though the Alcatraz books might not be the best to start on as they are written in an entirely different genre than the WoT. I would recommend his most recent book, Warbreaker, as a great place to start. It is a standalone novel so it is a relatively quick read and it gives you a good feel for his writing style.
