I gotta say your review is pretty much spot on. Well said.

The twist of course still has me hanging in the ropes a little bit. Not because I don't think it doesn't work or make sense, but I wonder if you see the early signs of it when rereading the book (just like it's fun to rewatch The Usual suspects, The sixth sense and Fight Club and to notice the hints). If that's the case, excellent. If not...well, I may feel a little cheated.

I hope we'll have a bigger discussion thread on this sometime. Right now there are a lot of thoughts about the book going through my head, but they are hard to put down at this point.

Let's hope a lot of people read this, the book certainly deserves it.


I have evil plans of guiding a popular movement to making this the object of the book club at some point. But Rebekah keeps looking evil whenever I suggest it, so I don't know.
