I have always heard high praise for Dune but this was the first that I had heard of it being full of characters that are easy to hate.
This would be a deal breaker for me. I don't want to read a book where I am going to be disgusted and depressed all the way through.
How did you find the characters?
Thank you,
Tash

As I said, I watched the film first and although Paul is a bit on the arrogant side, I always found it easy for cheer for his house and its allies after all that happens.

If you've read WOT, you'll know what Rand is like. Paul Atreides is like Rand x 10^5 in arrogance *NM*
