I think I had all of the Jordan Conan books and they were all paint by numbers kind of thing, a little like what happened to Dragonlance and Forgotten Relms

Personally Conan the Barbarian is the best book regarding that world and everything else was pretty much milking the franchise (for lack of better term)

While most of the Conan books I have read were enjoyable, I have read most of the Sprague de Ccamp books as well, most lack substance and are just good at filling in time
