I'm currently reading the third Sword of Truth Novel...

Now before you all get upset, 
, I only read his first three in the Sword of Truth series. As well as his one short story, which I read in an anthology last week or so.
The thing is, I find him very readable. As a person, well, I'm trying not to judge. And apparently he gets preachy in the rest of his Sword of Truth books. So that would probably bring my opinion down some, even if I agree with what he's preaching about. But his writing keeps me interested. His characters aren't always the best, but they're good enough. I always want to keep turning the page, which is more than I can say for a lot of authors who are pimped on this board.
Am I alone in this? Is the preachiness what makes people not want to read him, or is it his... weird attitude?

...and I must say I'm enjoying the series so far. My mom picked up the Sword of Truth series at a garage sale and loaned them to me to read.
That said, I have not ready many fantasy authors...Tolkein and Jordan mainly. Oh, and Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Riders of Porn books. I'm generally more of a vampire book kinda gal.
I'm finding Goodkind to be an easy read but enjoyable. And I like some of the characters. I also feel it's more grown-up than Jordan. And no, I don't mean in a porn kinda way.
Anyway, based on my limited experience, I'm enjoying the books. I don't know that I would re-read them or seek out others that he has written, but I'm content to work my way through the series.
I'm also open to suggestions for other good series!

I actually kind of like Terry Goodkind's writing.
