It's called that for purposes of making sure the site is located easily if people do Google searches and such. However, if you look at the categories you can choose from for posting, it becomes clear that this is a "Books" forum that has a preference for Sci-Fi and Fantasy.

When we were alpha testing, we had a "Literature" board that was separate but that was merged into this board (intentionally).

That's why you see people like me posting reviews of The Decameron and non-fiction here, and why people don't assume you're talking about Sci-Fi and Fantasy without explicit mentions of the same in the subject tags or subject lines.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
