View original postI'm reading a book by a Kiwi author that I think is going to rapidly descend into smut. I might be wrong. Can't remember what it's called.
Highly predictable but surprisingly not smutty. I was so sure that's where it was going. It wasn't very good, though.
Turns out it was written by a German lady (in German) who lives in Spain, and who thought writing about British settlers in NZ was a good idea. And it was translated by an American. This does explain the issues with it and the various errors that any Kiwi would have got correct.
