The South China Sea as in the nine-dash line and all that jazz? Legolas Send a noteboard - 08/04/2015 07:17:04 PM

View original postNot too long ago I finished Asia's Cauldron by Robert Kaplan. Then it was Bill Hayton's The South China Sea. Oh, and I listened to The Bat by Jo Nesbo. It was enjoyable enough for a hardboiled story, but given all the fuss about the Harry Hole saga, meh, I was expecting more. Should anyone here actually have an interest in the SCS -- hey, you never know -- let me just say that the Hayton book is the one you want ( to read first ). And I'm not just saying that because Kaplan is associated with the cabal of neocon shits running the State Department.

Could be interesting. I'm kind of baffled how China seems to get away with claiming territory that far from its own territory and that close to Vietnam's / Malaysia's / the Philippines', but I'm sure things are more complex than that...
View original postNot sure what'll be next. I haven't read any SFF in ages. Is that bad?

I don't know, I read very little of it myself these days.
