It's starting to feel like a real slog through. Mostly because half the characters go off on these long nihilistic internal soliloquies about the meaninglessness of life and that definitely drags. Seriously, if every character were less emo, you could easily cut out those 250 pages - even more!
I've definitely started to skip through parts. I didn't think much could beat the end of Toll the Hounds, but Dust of Dreams sure did. It's pretty brutal, in now-classic Erikson style. I mean seriously, you can pretty much skip all the parts with the Barghast and anyone else, and stick with the Bonehunters and the Letherii, and not lose too much.
