Let me quote, because it's that good in the book:

" 'Kill me, then,' panted Harry, who felt no fear at all, but only rage and contempt. 'Kill me like you killed him, you coward -'
'DON'T -' screamed Snape, and his face was suddenly demented, inhuman, as though he was in as much pain as the yelping, howling dog stuck in the burning house behind them, '- CALL ME COWARD!' "

So, erm, the only time in the books we see Snape completely lose his temper, the only time we catch a glimpse of the pain beneath the mask, but the movie makers didn't think it worth including? That's pretty bad if you ask me. Rehabilitating Snape in the movie versions of DH will be that much harder with this key moment missing.
