Even though I was fine with his WoT books, they're unlike his other stories. Mistborn is great, read beetnemesis Send a noteboard - 09/08/2013 06:25:26 PM

Sanderson wrote the WoT books trying to fit into another person's world. He did a decent job of it (I don't loathe him as some others do), but Sanderson becomes exponentially better when he's working in his own skin, so to speak.

Mistborn is excellent. Not only that, it's pretty self-contained (although it's technically a trilogy... well, a trilogy and then a standalone sequel to the trilogy). Read it and enjoy.

I amuse myself.

BS is a much better writer than his work with WOT would lead one to suspect - 10/08/2013 09:49:02 AM 763 Views
