It doesn't have the spark or wit that I felt it should have. It was all a bit obvious in a "Look, it's all your favourite Marvel heroes but in the past! LOL" sort of way. There were some nice touches like using Virginia Dare and the secretive "John" Grey stuff, but as a fan of Gaiman, the artist Andy Kubert, and Marvel Comics it just left me wanting something more. It was a bit like one of those What If? stories, great in concept but somewhat hollow in execution.
