The Acts of Caine by Matthew Stover.
Ya know I was away on a long field exercise when Revenge of the Sith came out and got my hands on a copy of the novelization by Stover before seeing the film, and it was really quite good, then I saw the movie, yuck
The Witcher books by Andrzej Sapkowski. Though most of those are still awaiting English translation.
Xenowealth series by Tobias Buckell.
Looks like it is currently a trilogy plus an e-book and he can't get it published, kind of sort of Rule 1 for the list and making me pessimistic the series will expand
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
