He could download the original 1st Edition 1987 Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader, and read it the way it was meant to be before Games Workshop realised they had a potential kiddyfiable cash cow on their hands

The funny thing is that talking about it has made me want to get out my Imperial Guard army again. I have neither the time or money to do so, though, so this is about as far as I'll get with the idea.
Can someone explain something about Warhammer 40,000 continuity to me?
