I finished the 2nd Harry Potter book. I'll continue with the series.
Plummet is a medicore book about a young lawyer from Kentucky getting a job at a huge law firm in New York City. He works hard and is the new wiz kid, but then his ideals overcome some of the shady things he has to do . . . blah, blah, blah. Don't bother picking it up.
And right now, based on Ben's recommendation, I'm starting the Harry Dresden books. I have just begun Storm Front (if I've remembered the title correctly).

For its flaws, the Malazan books are much better than Goodkind.

Series of that length, not really (unless you haven't read Harry Potter yet, I guess).
