Obscure word from Shadow of the Torturer by Gene Wolf MalkierKnight Send a noteboard - 04/12/2012 07:07:32 PM
So, I randomly remembered a word I once read in Shadow of the Torturer by Gene Wolf (the guy is notorious for using obscure yet actual words to describe things/events in his universe, rather than resorting to made-up fantasy/sci-fi words). The trouble is, I can't for the life of me remember what the word was.

It had something to do with being laid out for an operation or the state of a person while they are opened up and being operated on, I think. It was a really good word. Does anyone happen to know what this word is?

I only ask because I know only the RAFO community would have such random knowledge haha.

I can't believe either of those words qualify as "obscure", though. - 05/12/2012 11:20:20 PM 1034 Views
