Why was Stinky the goblin glowing blue?
I was listening to it on audiobook, so maybe I missed something, but all I remember is Stinky glowing blue, Vimes muttering "St. Unguluant's Fire!" and then that's about it.
Well replace ungulant with Elmo, same thing, Ungulant is out of Small Gods I think. If I remember right, and read it right, Stinky wasn't mortal and was more a spirit or manifestation.
Also, I liked Snuff... but it's definitely odd to see how he's essentially Superman, now. Not only does he have all of his normal Determinator policeman powers, but he also has his Darkness powers, AND basically every ruler on the Disc thinks highly of him. Where can he go from here?
Unfortunately I don't think we'll get more than maybe one more Vimes novel if we're lucky so I don't know that it will come up, but he was already more or less like that in Fifth Elephant already, he did beat a werewolf to death. Realistically it doesn't matter if he's a bit super-man considering we have characters like Weatherwax and Carrot already in play.
