I am not feeling particularly verbose tonight. I was planning on extolling the myriad and diverse virtues of Digger, but I rather think I'm going to go for "concise."
You should read Digger.
It's the story of an wombat, an extraordinarily commonsensical wombat, who finds herself in a world of magic and gods and all that annoying dreck that people seem to think is so fascinating. Digger doesn't quite know how she got there, and she doesn't particularly want to deal with statues that are actually gods, hyena war-parties and oracular slugs, infuriatingly vague prophecies and occasionally vampiric squash. Really she just wants to figure out how to get home. But of course, things are never that easy...
At times poignant, hilarious, tearjerking, suspenseful, awe-inspiring, and heartwarming - Ursula never hits a wrong note with Digger. And the art is absolutely gorgeous, which never hurts. Digger is probably my favorite epic webcomic, and you should give it a try.
