A good solid Marxist analysis of the text is still lacking. You've pointed out some of the inherent contradictions in the capitalist system in the review, but it really needs to be brought home. "Poor writing is the highest stage of capitalism" might be a good phrase to try out. The notion that, when the intelligence of the proletariat has been completely subverted through social media, Twitter and books like Lu's, the capitalist system will begin its decay, is one that should be explored. The switch from manufacturing to finance, and from finance to a "service economy", and from that to a service economy that fails to deliver, is surely a progression that merits examination.
Yes, I could have recast some of my comments to fit an audience that would have understood well what "commodification of amatory resources" denotes. The poor writing, however, I think would be less an apotheosis of international capitalism and more a symptom of the antithesis of its delivery system. But yes, the stultification of the masses through such works as Lu's should have been argued more forcibly as being incipient signs of internal rot.
And don't let revisionists, Trotskyites or Maoists take you from doctrinal orthodoxy here. If ever you are tempted to bring in their ideas, just ask yourself, "What would Engels do?" and you should be fine (the answer always being, "grow the beard longer," I believe).
I guess that means purging my narrative of Bakunin's influence. That and permitting my stubble to grow out.
Illusions fall like the husk of a fruit, one after another, and the fruit is experience. - Narrator, Sylvie

Je suis méchant.
Probably one of the most scathing reviews I've ever written (plus a link to an outraged reader)

Well, it's hard for some to accept that their actions can bring down international capitalism
