Angela Carter: The Bloody Chamber - interesting and quite dark versions of some known fairy tales
Ernest Hemingway: The Sun Also Rises - my first Hemingway, it was ok. I got restless when reading about the characters mostly sitting in cafés all day long...sure, other things happened also, but it's the parts of the book where they are drinking at different cafés that I will remember.
Kurt Vonnegut: Slaughterhouse Five - interesting book, but I don't understand why this book seem to be known as the "greatest anti-war" book. I think that, for example, "The Naked and the Dead" is a greater anti-war book than "Slaughterhouse Five".

As do I. It's the only one of his books I don't have any reservations about.
