They usually came out in the spring, but GS was pushed back to the summer. This moves from a summer release to a fall, so he's still taking a year and a bit to write it.
I do have to wonder why it's taking longer to write the Dresden books now that he's no longer writing the Codex Alera anymore... I mean, he was writing the other series concurrently with Changes and Turn Coat, and they only took a year each.
