Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the second half. (minor spoilers) badassashaman Send a noteboard - 29/07/2012 04:56:53 AM
- super sex tutorials from a faerie-nymph-thing
- noble savages with shocking customs that are ultimately embraced and mastered by the protagonist
- the stupid not-romance and the shocking reasons Why It Can Never Be between him and whats-her-face
= more hogwartz drama
- a magic cape. yeah. but it doesn't really do much.

the tropes just get worse, though it remains a fun read. One thing I did realize in retrospect was that, as an unreliable narrator, many of these cliches may be a comment on Kvothe's storytelling, since the "present" sections seem to lack them.
