It might also point me to a few people I'm not familiar with but whose works I might like reading. I've got Lope de Vega, Cervantes, de la Barca and a few others from the Siglo de Oro (or just before it proper, like Lazarillo de Tormes).
There are references to Continental Spanish lit here and there, but it's interesting to see how little each influenced the other for most of the past four centuries.
