He was the author and illustrator of many, many beloved children's books, as well as many other projects.


Quite sad I only wish the movie version of where the wild things are was better to make his last years more enjoyable. He lived a good full life though. Still with him and Seuss gone I think all the really famous children's authors I remember are dead and I don't see anyone know writing at their level. Is Shel Silverstein still alive?
