but he/she did say he/she disliked Game of Thrones, and I'm guessing the violence and harshness have something to do with that... as I understand it, Abercrombie is as bad or worse in that regard?
As djwilson and Snoop have pointed out, it is a different sort of violence, as oddly as it sounds, a more family friendly and traditional violence. As I go down his list of requirements for recommendations my thoughts immediately turned to Abercrombie. It sounded like he was describing The First Law Trilogy perfectly.
But as Cuppa has pointed out, Abercrombie wasn't his cup of tea...so you are right. DAMN YOU!
