From what I read, it's a coming of age story set in small town Canada that sounds similar in concept to Stephen King's novella, The Body (which became the film Stand By Me). Maybe there are hidden fantasy elements that the blurb didn't talk about, hard to say.
(PS, cool that someone took the initiative to put this together. It's always fun to check down the list and see if anything interests me.)
Yeah, I had noticed that it was a re-print of a book that he had written under his real name Steve Lundin in 1998. Had even put down that comment in the main message, then removed it as it seemed out of place to write something in parentheses beside the author's name in the list.
It didnt look like fantasy to me either.
Thanks to you and Legolas for pointing it out to everyone
I liked your blog on animals, btw.
Isn't everyone in WoT re-born?

Just to be confusing, THIS RIVER was not his first written novel, which was in fact GARDENS.
