The modern German Bible is a travesty that bears little resemblance to the Luther Bible, and modern Russian Bibles are generally unauthorized translations made by Baptists or others in the West.
If I weren't spending store credit generated from trading in shitty fantasy novels that I received as unsolicited review copies, I wouldn't have gotten them, but since I wasn't paying cash, I thought I'd take a flier on them. Some of these editions make a Gideon edition look like a Gutenberg Bible
But I do have a nice interlinear Septuagint that I bought a couple of years ago. That and the revised Vulgate NT are the only two I've really spent any money on in recent years.
When I get around to working again on my German, I might purchase a Luther translation (or be cheap and see if it's a free e-book if I need it before then), as I've thumbed through one of those when I was in college over 15 years ago.
