For one thing, I have hundreds of books waiting to be read, and hundreds more I want to buy.
For another thing, I rarely feel like the book will touch me the way it first did. However, I find myself rereading things like LotR and soon I'll be rereading the Pit Dragon trilogy by Jane Yolen. I read both of those as a child. So maybe as I get older I'll be more inclined to rediscover my favorites.

I generally can't reread anything.
