Hah! Spike would mock Marsters career progression. He played a rich old dude on Supernatural

Once there was a time when he played a badass rebellious punk vampire on the main supernatural show on the WB. Now, on the flagship scifi series on the successor network, he plays the middle-aged, prosperous town-father-rotary-chairman type that would be the opposite of everything his archetypal character on Buffy would stand for. Plus, reading audio books, in an accent that 98% of his fans would never recognize, just because he played a vampire and there is a vampire in the book...Good for him that he's working, but that's like John Wayne playing a city-slicker who hates guns.
