I love the series. I loved GotM. I loved how it dropped me in the middle of a conflict and didn't bother explaining everything. I love the fact it made me use my imagination to fill in the holes.
Being dropped in the middle of a story without exposition was the best part. It made the world more realistic as we too live our lives without explaining world for the benefit of invisible readers.
Evolution, just like gravity, works even if you don't believe in it.
