No, I'm not starting a thread for October reads...or at least not alone. Just a few questions:
1. Do you try to read "darker" fictions in October compared to other months?
1. Do you try to read "darker" fictions in October compared to other months?
Could be, but not by a conscious choice.
2. Have you read (or heard of) any of the following: Michael Cisco, Thomas Ligotti, Ramsey Campbell, Poppy Z. Brite, Caitlín Kiernan?
Short stories and a graphic novel by Ligotti.
I've read one novel by Brite a very long time ago. As far as I remember, it was really bad - sub-Anne Rice bad.
3. What is your main excuse for not reading and/or reviewing fictions?
having to earn a living, what else?
4. Have you heard that Erin Morgenstern's The Night Circus is one of THE books to be published this year? If so, have you bought it or are considering reading it?
Nope.
5. Art Spiegelman's Metamaus comes out on October 4. Two-parter:
A. Do you know who Art Spiegelman is?
B. Are you intrigued by the book?

a) Of course, and
b) Not in the least.
