Took quite a while for me to finish it, partly because the interesting background only unveils slowly and partly because of the short chapters which makes the book easier to lay down.

I recommend it and I will probably try to read the next book in the same universe ("Ragamuffin" I think).


Ragamuffin isn't quite as good as Crystal Rain, but it DOES pull the PoV into the wider universe, which is interesting. The third novel in the universe, SLY MONGOOSE, is easily the best so far, and a very fun read... featuring Pepper and space zombies.
