I can't get myself excited, knowing it's a 10-book series. I'm also less and less able to enjoy books that are set in made-up worlds, as I mentioned in my original response. I guess I'm getting old.
I found myself feeling the same way. I did buy and read the book, but I'll be waiting to see how things work out before I read further. I like that Sanderson is a fast writer, but I'll be waiting for him to be done with WoT before I decide. If he can put out another book in the series in a year, maybe even 2, then I'm in.
At this point, I find myself only having enough patience to start series that only have one book to go, are already finished, or have an author that is known for putting out a book a year like Erikson.
