I seem to have lost all enthusiasm toward this series. It pettered out somewhere in the middle of AFFC, and I've just never picked it up. I've been telling myself that it's because of the nature of that, book, only half the intended story. I was simply waiting, and waiting, and... I've had three kids since AFFC was published. I've been to two different churches. My job has changed a good dozen times. It's been nearly 11 years since book 3, that last good one, was published... a couple weeks after I got married, a couple months after I graduated college. I'm a very different person now than I was. I find myself uninterested on the eve of this release. It's sad because I remember how much I enjoyed the first three books. *mourns*
A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin. You may have heard of this one.

Very minor spoiler (confirming or denying that the two POVs are present)

So what you're saying is that it's actually a good book and can blow AFFC out of the water? *NM*
