For me, "Neverwhere" or "American Gods" is a far better portrayal of Gaiman's work.

Also, you mention liking Stardust the movie; it's a actually an awesome little book written by Gaiman that was then adapted for the screen. It's a beautifully written little piece, I totally recommend it.
