I was both sad and pleased re Harry Potter, for example. I like it when series have a definite place to finish - the end of school being a perfect cut off - but I love the characters and the stories so it was sad to see them end.
I am looking forward to the end of The Wheel of Time because I want answers and I want things to be resolved.
Ditto The Wars of Light and Shadow, although there will be more sadness over that one finishing because I love them so very much.
