Reading half of The Aeneid
The Bacchae, by Euripides
Agammemnon and The Eumenides, by Aeschylus
Oedipus the King, by Sophocles
Theogony, by Hesiod
Bits and pieces of The Odyssey
Bits and pieces of Ovid's Metamorphoses
Bits and pieces of the Homeric Hymns
And for fun I'll slowly continue reading Troilus and Cressida, by Chaucer (modern English translation).
Which, if any, do you consider the boring bit?
The least exciting, I suppose, may be reading only half the Aeneid? Are you forbidden from reading the rest? Or is it the modern English translation of Troilus and Criseyde you are lamenting (it is not the prose translation, I hope. I almost bought that one because it did not occur to me that someone might actually do that to the poem.
