I've hardly started the Genre challenge yet.

Plenty of time. I still have some to go as well.
Can you recommend a good family chronicle? I've read The Poisonwood Bible and that's the only thing I can think of currently. :P

Well, since you say you've been meaning to read Trollope, some of his series of novels could be considered family chronicles (like the six Palliser novels that I'm reading currently), but it's a bit of a stretch, admittedly. Not sure that I've read many already that I could recommend, either... unless you count Colleen McCullough's "Masters of Rome" series. I'm thinking I might try Sarum, that's supposed to be pretty good.
