But as for the selection, it definitely varies from library to library (or at least system to system). I still have my old Denver card, and they have a way better selection than the Pittsburgh libraries. And both are constantly adding to the collection, if slowly.

Maybe Amazon entering the market will push the number of books available even higher for those of us who already use it? Ah, wishful thinking. Anyway. It's not perfect, certainly, but I use it pretty frequently. That's really what kept me from getting a Kindle, actually.
