that you've had this debate stuck in my head all night. To be honest, I think I read too much into her post. She did not say anything about a post-apocalyptic situation, but that's the overriding feeling I had about it when I went to answer - I mean, why would I only be able to pass one book forward?:P Anyway, I would stand by 1984 in that case.

I think I'll mess up Camilla's survey and choose Huxley to make people read now, keeping 1984 as an ace in my pocket.
