Loved the book; loved the series - although I specifically loved the combination of Deadhouse Gates and Memories of Ice earlier in the series 'more'- loved the fact that many of the soldiers came to view the Adjunct as their 'mother'.
That pretty much summarized her.
With that said- in the closing coda:
- Adjunct Tavore's verbal proclamation at the point of a very long-awaited reunion was heart-breaking, and completely realistic. Completely awesome.
- Kamisod's (hope the spelling is correct)'final send off' was... as abrupt as two-knives in the dark could be....
- From a pure 'me as the reader perspective', the resolution of the Tiste Andii plot was- while ultimately fantastic- the most difficult to read through. Dream/psychosis sequences FTL.
For those on this board, we can certainly hope that Memory of Light delivers to the same level as this book did. I was emotionally invested, by the end, and enjoyed every bit.... even a few pages of 'Return of the King' closing-coda-esque moments.
Good stuff.
