I just got a kindle for my birthday, and I've had a HUGE increase in reading since I got it. I've finished about five books in the last week or two.
But I've been where you are before. I decided that every few months, I would take a book that I was familiar with and considered to be a good work, and I would break it down chapter by chapter, taking notes on the pieces of the craft of writing I noticed.
This simple sacrifice to the Writing Gods has kept me sane, and given me some very good lessons in writing. Perhaps more importantly, it's let me get back to reading for pleasure, where I can just let a book or movie flow naturally through my brain, comforted in the thought that soon I'll be able to rip another one apart and see what its insides look like.
Wow, that last sentence wasn't creepy as hell.
Yeah.

Who else has (regretfully) lost much of their joy for reading, and what are your reasons?

I write most of my notes with pen and paper, unless it's a specific idea on a project I've started.

I still think the best solution is to just sit down with some Wodehouse. *NM*

It's more likely the internet, and, to a lesser extent, TV than it is games.

You're either too tired or you've simply outgrown certain kinds of genres/books
