There are no e-readers that play DVDs (unless you count computers). An e-ink display takes about half a second to update, so watching video would be quite annoying anyway, as would playing video games. There are e-readers with other displays, but in that case you lose the paper-like quality of no backlighting and battery life drops to hours rather than days.


I was just being snarky with that line, but after I read the Ipad comment, I was wondering... what about reading apps for the ipad? I guess I'll have to go check it out. I don't know anyone with an ipad to compare things, though. I know, that sounds strange, but it's true.
