Just make sure you look at your library's Online selection first. everynametaken Send a noteboard - 01/02/2011 01:43:49 AM
I like borrowing from the library, but I'm not up for stripping DRM from a book - (ethically or intellectually!).

Thanks for the advice!

You will probably not find a lot books you would expect and sometimes there are long waiting lists for the books you do find and want. All the Online lenders that contract with the libraries to do Online lending work with heir own rules. Some allow a copy of a book with DRM and some give you 2 weeks and that is it and tough shit if you haven't finished.

The library lending was one of the things that interested me in the Nook but honestly I haven't really found that much a few times I've skimmed the collection that I actually want to read.

If you won't strip DRM, for whatever odd reason, get a Nook. - 31/01/2011 08:35:26 PM 796 Views

And you don't need bookshelves with ereaders. - 01/02/2011 11:06:39 PM 793 Views
Which is more irritating, bookshelves taking up space or running out of batteries while reading? - 02/02/2011 10:57:50 PM 879 Views
