this is a collection of short stories. to be honest, they're pretty average. there are some good ones, like rats in the wall, herbert west - reanimator, cool air among them, but they're fairly samey. Plus there's too much "it was indescribably horrific, beyond the comprehension of a sane mind, no eye could behold it", i'm left thinking...just tell me what it is. the first time you try and imagine something horrific and it kind of works, but then in subsequent stories with the same device i just imagine the same thing again.
I cannot help thinking that you have missed the point.
how so?
Identifying the horror would make it ... classifiable, identifiable, hence less horrific?
