It is not my room any longer, but I suspect at least some of my fondness for the room remains for all the reading I did there.
I remember very clearly buying my first Enid Blyton - it was the first of a long series of books my gran would buy for me. One book a month.
I read a lot of other books in my room, of course, but Tolkien is the one I remember most.
For some reason I read Mirador by Sarah Monette in the dim lighting of my table lamp.
I read Stephen Donaldson's Thomas Covenant books in college and in a nearby restaurant.
There are others, but these stand out the most.
